What a success ! No fewer than fifty parents and children gathered at the shared gardens of La Roquebrussanne on Saturday 7 May, alongside the great Nature Festival organised by the village's C.O.F. and by determined volunteers.
During the festivities, Clotilde from the " Cueillette de la Loube " and a founding member of the JARDINS D'ISSOLE, offered planting activities at her stand in the centre of the village. Lucas co-hosted, with Pierre VENEL, the stand dedicated to home composting.
Then, at the shared gardens, tours of the 4 areas of the gardens : the collective, communal, family and educational (nursery school) sections were led by Christian and Lucas.
Meanwhile, workshops on making weather vanes and rain gauges were held for the children, their parents and grandparents. They measured, marked out, cut, sawed, drilled, screwed, nailed and assembled their creations, and went home with them, ready to be set up at home.
Finally, a snack, kindly offered by the organisers of this Nature Festival, sealed a most convivial moment of sharing.
The weather was kind, and the rain waited until the participants had left to bring the day to a close in style, damp and life-giving for the plants, on a day that was dedicated to them. A complete success !
Thank you to all the organisers (Sophie, Jennifer, Stéphanie) and to the Town Hall, to the participants, and above all to the children, who in the years to come will know how to take care of our environment, so rich and so fragile.
